Galaxy Band: bracelet connected Samsung?

Samsung would bracelets connected with the Galaxy Band, a product from little rumor.


After the resounding flop of the Galaxy Gear , the South Korean manufacturer wants to try the adventure of objects connected with another project. Under the provisional name Band Galaxy lies a strap connected to measure the physical performance of the wearer.

Its architecture is composed of micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), the same as is used in the construction of smartphones. It includes motion sensors, blood pressure, humidity or temperature. These retrieve information from the user in real time. Besides a pedometer, it also includes a guide system. The Galaxy Band works with smartphones via Bluetooth.

According to a source ddaily.co.kr , this bracelet work with Samsung smartphones and tablets, but also with devices from other brands. Currently in development, this project is supervised by Luc Julia. You should know that he has left Apple and its Siri girond department for Samsung. Expertise could be put to use with the Galaxy Band, since it is also equipped with a voice recognition system and function still obscure, would be able to identify its environment.

Compatible SAMI

The Galaxy Band is the first product to ship SAMI (Samsung Architecture for Multimodal Interaction), a data manager synchronizing all information compatible devices to serve the user in a simple application. Moreover, to improve the interaction between man and machine, SAMI uses speech recognition.

The Galaxy Band should be unveiled shortly before the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to be held in February 2014. Until then, we can only advise to take all this information with tweezers they are owed.
